Aastra's innovative solution enables DECT phones to interoperate with hosted or customer premise based SIP PBX systems across IP networks. The DECT phones become normal SIP extensions on the PBX, enabling mobile users to be contacted anywhere within the enterprise on their normal extension number.
With automatic hand-off and roaming, the solution offers high quality, interference free mobile communication throughout a single or multi-location business.
The solution can be installed with the highly featured Aastra DECT Phone 142 or with existing GAP compliant handsets, assisting with a smooth migration from legacy PBX to a full IP telephony solution (Some functionality will be lost with non-Aastra handsets) .
Each base station can support upto eight concurrent DECT voice calls utilising G.711, G.729a/b, or G.723 on the network side. Up to 256 RFP32 base stations may be deployed in a network supporting upto 512 dect phones.
