BTnet Start - Overview
The BTnet Start family is designed to meet the evolving Internet connectivity needs of small companies. BTnet can offer them the next step up the Internet access ladder - by enabling them to make a simple, straightforward and economical transition from dial-up and ISDN to fixed Internet access. It is a fixed service, providing 'always on' connectivity to the Internet, and requires no 'dial up' process. It offers an ideal way of controlling network costs by charging a set quarterly rental with no usage charge.
Three speeds are available, 64k (BTnet Start Standard), 256k (BTnet Start Extra) or 2Mbps (BTnet Start Premium). The BTnet Start family provides a logical migration path to small companies whose Internet connectivity requirements have outgrown the capabilities of PSTN or ISDN dial access services. It is perfect for small and medium sized companies with single LANs or those making their first move into small scale web hosting or e-Commerce.
BTnet Premium - Overview
The BTnet Premium option is available in a range of bandwidths to suit your individual requirements. We can deliver the Premium service from 64kbps to Gigabits and provide the service with symmetrical or asymmetrical access. With the asymmetric offering, the outbound bandwidth (from your site to Internet) is greater than the inbound bandwidth.
Premium option includes:
- Total Care maintenance 365 days a year - we will respond to a fault within 4 hours
- 64kbps - Gigabits bandwidths available in varying increments to meet your needs
- A range of access speeds available to deliver the required bandwidths
- Service Level Agreement included - the performance of BTnet Premium is guaranteed. Our Service Level Agreement includes stringent targets for on time delivery, service availability and round trip delays. Where we fail to meet our targets we will make appropriate credits to your account.
- Resilience and Disaster Recovery options available to ensure that your mission critical applications are always available
- Customer bandwidth utilisation reports available on request to make sure you are maximising the performance of your BTnet connection
BT Net Premium is the new name for BTnet Flex Leased Line Internet including BTnet Flex Start, Net Flex Silver and Net Flex Gold
BTnet Gateway
Allows customers to connect to the Internet if they already use one of BT ADS (Advanced Data Services). This means that connection is possible without the need for a separate connection. Gateways are available between BTnet and SMDS, FrameStream, FBS, ISDN and Cellstream. Access speeds are dependent on the network service.
