The primary feature of the UMTS (3G) system is that it supports high speed data connections, equivalent to (or better than) broadband on fixed lines; fast enough to use streaming video on a mobile phone.

Everything Everywhere EE - The new 4G Network 

Everything Everywhere, recently rebranded as EE is the owner of Orange and T-Mobile networks and is the first company in the UK to start rolling out a 4G network.  Everything Everywhere have branded their new 4G Network 4GEE and it will operate on their existing 1800Mhz frequency license and offer super fast mobile internet speeds.  The 4G Technology the EE use is called LTE (Long Term Evolution) so you will also commonly hear services and equipment described as 4G LTE, eg. 4G LTE Network, 4G LTE Smartphone, 4G LTE Phone, 4G LTE Modem and 4G LTE Router.

This new high speed 4G mobile Broadband service will provide super fast wireless Internet connectivity for 4G enabled smartphones and there will also be a 4G Modem option available.  Westlake Communications will also be able to supply a 4G Router for use on the Everything Everywhere 4GEE service that will enable you to share your high speed mobile broadband service.
