The Funkwerk bintec RS120wu 3G Router is now in stock.

The Funkwerk bintec RS120wu is an embedded HSPA 3G Router offering download speeds up to 7.2Mbps and upload speeds up to 5.76Mbps.  The Funkwerk RS120wu features  5 x 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports, autosensing, Auto MDI/MDI-X and up to 4 ports can be switches as additional WAN ports incl. load balancing, all Ethernet ports can be configured as LAN or WAN.

The RS120wu also features high speed 802.11 b/g/n wireless connectivity which can also operate in wireless LAN client mode enabling Ethernet connected devices to be able to communicate via the WiFi LAN interface.  A example of how this can be used is a bus CCTV application so the CCTV DVR installed on the bus is connected to the Funkwerk RS120wu Ethernet interface and can communicate with the bus station Wireless LAN when in the depot, and when the bus travels along it’s route and can no longer connect to the Wireless LAN, the router can failover to the embedded 3G connection and provide ongoing communication until the bus returns to the depot and reconnects to the wireless LAN.
