The Clarity 4020 is at the heart of this Mini IP-PBX solution. The Clarity 4020 Phone connects to a traditional analogue (PSTN) Telephone line and works just like an ordinary telephone. However, this is the only ordinary thing about thie Clarity 4020.
Insert a Mobile Phone SIM Card into the Clarity 4020 and you can now make and receive calls over the GSM Mobile Phone Network, as well as making and receiving calls over a normal telephone line. This means that if you use a SIM card on a mobile phone tariff that provides low cost or bundled calls to mobile phones, your business can reduce the call charges when calling mobile phones, becuase these calls can be made at mobile to mobile rates.
Becuase of the built-in GSM functionality, the Clarity 4020 IP Phone can also be used as a Follow Me GSM Gateway which means that you can connect this telephone to your analogue telephone line, insert a SIM card and set the phone to route all inbound calls to your mobile phone, which means that if you are on a mobile phone tariff that allows free calls between mobiles, all of your diverted calls will be free of charge.
You can also connect the Clarity 4020 to your LAN (Local Area Network) and use your broadband internet connection to subscribe to a SIP Trunk Service provider to enable additional calls to be routed using the latest VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) Technologies.
Once the Clarity 4020 IP Phone is connected to your LAN, you can then connect additional IP Phones (Clarity 3020 and Clarity 3030) to the LAN and they wil work as extensions, so calls can be answered and transferred between extensions.
The Clarity 4020 Mini IP PBX IP Phone also provides built in auto attendant (press 1 for sales...), but does NOT include voicemail.
